Recalibrate! It’s Time To Restore And Return To A Precise Plumbline! It’s Time To Treasure Truth!

Recently, while on an airplane journeying from Dallas, Texas to Hong Kong for various ministry meetings, I was simply quietly praying asking God what would He have me speak to the Body of Christ during these turbulent times? Within my spirit there was a deep, longing hunger to receive His pertinent, prophetic proclamations, and relevant, revelatory revelations. Knowing the people of God are desperate, they are crying out for clear guidance and divine strategies, knowing well that the mere plans of man will not work. The Spirit of Truth spoke exceptionally bold this word into my spirit, “tell God’s people it is time to recalibrate! I questioned, “Lord what does this word mean? The Spirit of Truth is calling the Saints of God back to “plumbline precision!”

The word recalibration speaks of:
The course of action taken to assure accuracy and precise precision. To rectify back to the original setting.

Almighty God is calling the Church to get back on course. A culture of compromise, and contamination, is draining the very life from the Church. Many are too concerned about being politically correct and have missed the importance of remaining Scripturally correct.

While pondering this strong word, recalibrate; suddenly I am no longer setting on the airplane but now at this moment in the Spiritual realm, I was launched back into a vivid prophetic experience I had received in the early 1990’s. I was in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. Cloudcroft is a village in Otero County, New Mexico, and is within the Lincoln National Forest. The population is small. Despite being located in an otherwise arid region, it’s extremely high elevation (8,600 feet), is one of the highest in the U.S., this allows for a relatively mild summer that makes it a popular tourist attraction in West Texas and New Mexico. It was named by some of the tourism writers as the third “Most Overlooked and Underrated Destination Spot." These simple facts will have prophetic insights as you read on.

After a ministry conference meeting, I am on a high mountain, relaxing setting on a front porch, on a beautiful day, studying the Bible. I was dressed in nice slacks and lightweight dress slippers. When suddenly the Spirit of God spoke to me and said; “get up and climb this mountain!” The mountain was extremely high and dreadfully rugged. I protested saying, “Lord! I am studying, and this is not the proper attire I need to climb this rugged, rough, jagged mountain.”

Yet, amid my feeble protest in a very firm tone, I was told, “climb the mountain now!” So in obedience I embarked on the journey. I quickly discovered the fact that the bottom of my dress shoes were smooth and I could not get a good firm footing.

There was no clear hiking trail. I would climb over fallen logs, sharp jagged rocks, and through thick tangled brush. Up higher and higher, out of breath, and extremely tired, just a bit over half way up the mountain, I saw a large tree stump that appeared to be strong and stable. I was thinking, I will sit here to catch my breath. To my total shock, at the very moment my weight rested on the stump it absolutely crumbled to dust and sent me tumbling about 12 feet down the mountain. Stunned, yet unhurt, I sat there attempting to get my composure. With leaves and grass all over me, I was told, “you can’t stop here!” So I continued my trek upward and onward. Finally, after heaving and working hard to catch my breath, I reached near the tip-top summit of the mountain.

I was looking far out into the vistas of the valley, miles below the view, it was truly beautiful. However, I was instructed to look down and search between two huge boulders. Not sure what I was searching for, in obedience, I reached down and began to dig and push the dirt and leaves aside. I was so excited when under the dirt and foliage between the huge rocks, I uncovered a very old brass plate, driven firmly between the two huge rocks. The brass plate had been placed there by surveyors long ago. It had compass signs and numbers etched in it.

The Spirit of God said; “It was at this mountain top point, the valley far below was charted, mapped, and plotted. If you get off course here by the least bit, by the time you get to the valley floor the lines are off a great deal.”

Remember, I said all the history of this encounter would have meaning. The name Cloudcroft speaks of being covered with a cloud. The high places, where the true treasures of God are received, are covered in His “glory-cloud”. People come up to Cloudcroft because they were escaping the sweltering heat, and seeking refreshing. Also, it was named “Most Overlooked and Underrated Destination Spot." I think the Saints of God have underestimated the importance of coming up higher into the mountain of God’s presence (see Psalms 24:3-4). Be confident, the Spirit of God is calling all of us to come up higher and get directions clear from HIM (see Revelation 4:1-3).

It’s Time To Recalibrate And Return Back To Our Firm Foundation

Scripture warns us not to remove the ancient landmarks. In many aspects, in pulpits across the nations, the ancient landmarks of Truth have been removed.
It is time for the Church to get back to Truth. In many areas we have drifted far away from the Rock of Truth. Christ promised, this type of foundation is faulty and will not survive the coming storms (see Matthew 7:47-49).

It sad to see the devastation and wreckage of morals and character taking place within the Church today. If this contamination is so prevalent within the Church, what does this say about the unbelievers? It is extremely important that we heed the instructions of this passage in Proverbs: “Remove not the ancient landmark, which your fathers have set.” Proverbs 22:28

Scripture declares the people of God are destroyed for a lack knowledge: “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you that you shall be no priest to Me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children Hosea 4:6.

We are seeing the prophecy concerning a devastating famine gripping the land. Not a famine for mere food but for the Bread of Heaven: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord God, when I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but [a famine] for hearing the words of the Lord.” there is a huge famine in the land a famine for hearing and heeding the Word of God.
Amos 8:11

It is imperative that the Body of Christ repent and swiftly return to First Love, nothing is more needful and compelling (see Revelation 2:1-7).

Treasure Truth

It is time for the Body of Christ to recalibrate in dealing with the Truth! In many aspects the Church has drifted away from the Truth! Isaiah 59:14 “Truth has fallen in the streets! The saints of God will never be truly sanctified and set on the straight pathway until we embrace the Truth.

“Sanctify them [purify, consecrate, separate them for Yourself, make them holy] by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.

Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.
And so for their sake and on their behalf I sanctify (dedicate, consecrate) Myself, that they also may be sanctified (dedicated, consecrated, made holy) in the Truth.
John 17:17-19

Will you be willing to pay the price for Truth (see Proverbs23:23)? We must Treasure Truth! Somehow we have drifted far from sound doctrine concerning Truth. The Truth is not merely a scriptural principle printed on paper, TRUTH is a PERSON! Jesus stated that He is: THE WAY, THE TRUTH, THE LIFE (see John 14:6) and that no one comes to God apart from HIM.

The advice given by Paul is so needed today.

I charge [you] in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, Who is to judge the living and the dead, and by (in the light of) His coming and His kingdom:

Herald and preach the Word! Keep your sense of urgency [stand by, be at hand and ready], whether the opportunity seems to be favorable or unfavorable.

Whether it is convenient or inconvenient, whether it is welcome or unwelcome, you as preacher of the Word are to show people in what way their lives are wrong.] And convince them, rebuking and correcting, warning and urging and encouraging them, being unflagging and inexhaustible in patience and teaching.

For the time is coming when [people] will not tolerate (endure) sound and wholesome instruction, but, having ears itching [for something pleasing and gratifying], they will gather to themselves one teacher after another to a considerable number, chosen to satisfy their own liking and to foster the errors they hold,

And will turn aside from hearing the truth and wander off into myths and man-made fictions.
2 Timothy 4:1-4

It is very dangerous to merely teach traditions of men, knowing that traditions have the power to make the Word of God of none effect (see Mark 7:13).

Many will turn their backs on Truth.
And may show their soundness by] ceasing to give attention to Jewish myths and fables or to rules [laid down] by [mere] men who reject and turn their backs on the Truth.
Titus 1:14

Doctrines Of Demons
This warning is so urgent for the Church today! The warning that some will depart from the true faith and will began to teach doctrines of demons: But the [Holy] Spirit distinctly and expressly declares that in latter times some will turn away from the faith, giving attention to deluding and seducing spirits and doctrines that demons teach,
1 Timothy 4:3

Take time to meditate and memorize the Word of God, this is very important during these dark days of deception.

Let not mercy and kindness shutting out all hatred and selfishness and truth shutting out all deliberate hypocrisy or falsehood forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them upon the tablet of your heart.
Proverbs 3:3

God cannot and will not use you to the degree that He wants to, if we are shallow in the Word of God. It is as we become true doers of the Word of God that we mature (see James 1:22)

For while the Law was given through Moses, grace (unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing) and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 1:17

A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers.
God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).
John 4:23-24

The Lord is near to all who call upon Him, to all who call upon Him sincerely and in truth.
Psalm 145:18

Only as we stand in God’s Truth are we totally dressed and arrayed for victory in any and all battles we face (see Ephesians 6:10-17).
