Awestruck And Astounded! - The Overwhelming Goodness of GOD!

By Bobby Conner

April 25, 2015

Look among the nations and watch Be utterly astounded!
For I will work a work in your days Which you would not believe, though it were told you!

—Habakkuk 1:5

There is a powerful current word coming that will help define what is taking place within the body of Christ. It is the word “AWESTRUCK!” The Spirit of God will deal with the passive, noncommittal attitude prevalent and prevailing within the Church.

Suddenly, we are convinced that Almighty God is truly in charge and our God reigns! Don’t be afraid! His revelation of Himself will result in our being AWESTRUCK! Never doubt His promise to fill the entire earth with the knowledge of His glory. He is Almighty God!

I can’t emphasize enough that these are critical and serious times, we can’t afford mistakes and misguided steps; we must walk in the light of God’s word (see —Psalm 119:130). Each of us must determine to commit ourselves to make the most of every God-given opportunity (see —Ephesians 5:14-18).

This is no time to be passive and non-committal; arise and engage these days with bold, aggressive confidence and assurance of Divine companionship: (see — Hebrews 13:5).

Our world is swiftly changing; it is urgent that each of us be prepared and ready for these swift shifts and turbulent turns. Hold firm to the promise even amid such things we are more than victorious and unstoppable (see —Romans 8:37). We must be equipped to face the future with unwavering courage and bold confidence in this fact: OUR GOD REIGNS! (see —Psalm 96:10)

God has called and commissioned YOU to be a catalyst for cultural change, bringing about much needed moral and social transformation. You are salt and light to a dark, contaminated world (see — Matthew 5:14).

This is the season of harvest! All of heaven is alert and attentive to our actions. This is not a time to be timid or fearful. We are called to be bold brave and very courageous (see —Joshua 1:9). It is such an honor to be alive in the Kingdom of God during these days (see —Esther 4:14). As Esther was informed that she was in the kingdom for such a time as this, we need to be reminded that, “The kingdom is in us for such a time as this!

In God’s infinite wisdom, He could have allowed anyone to live in this time and season—yet He has chosen us:

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved. — Ephesians 1:2-6

It is therefore vital that we awake from our spiritual slumber.

Therefore He says, Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine (make day dawn) upon you and give you light.

Look carefully then how you walk! Live purposefully and worthily and accurately, not as the unwise and witless, but as wise (sensible, intelligent people),

Making the very most of the time [buying up each opportunity], because the days are evil. —Ephesians 5:14-16 AMP

The pathway to this much needed purity and consecration is clearly outlined for us:

Therefore, since these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God. —2 Corinthians 7:1 AMP

This is the day to awake, arise, and take our stand for God and His ways with our whole heart.

It is in His presence that boldness and genuine confidence is found.

The Spirit of Truth is awakening and arousing a radical remnant of overcomers ready to contend for the faith, ready to challenge and change the course of the church, thus altering the culture in which we live. We must function as salt and light to lead a contaminated culture to light and life in Christ. This occurs best when we simply become who we are destined to be, sons and daughters of the Most High God.

You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste (its strength, its quality), how can its saltiness be restored? It is not good for anything any longer but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot by men.

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Nor do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.

Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven. —Matthew 5:13-16 AMP

My heart overflows with gratitude and thanksgiving as I am reminded of God’s unfailing promise to cover the entire earth with His majestic revealed glory:

But the time is coming when the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

— Habakkuk 2:14

Truly we are a voice in the wilderness declaring, “Prepare the way of the Lord!”

A voice of one who cries: Prepare in the wilderness the way of the Lord [clear away the obstacles]; make straight and smooth in the desert a highway for our God!

Every valley shall be lifted and filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked and uneven shall be made straight and level, and the rough places a plain.

And the glory (majesty and splendor) of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it. — Isaiah 40:3-5

As followers of Christ we are beacons of light and encouragement to our hurting, fragmented world. Give close attention to Paul’s instructions:

Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain. —Philippians 2:14-16

Millions are experiencing famine, plagues, and living in bondage. The world watches as vivid pictures of terrorist attacks flash across television and computer screens. Insane men race to create weapons of mass destruction, boastfully raising threats to wipe Israel off of the map.

Demonic nations send out their murderers, beheading and slaughtering all who will not convert to Islam. Our nation could be at the brink of yet another devastating war.

It is apparent that deep darkness is spreading across the entire world (see —Isaiah 60:1-10). But the promises are steadfast and sure; God’s radiant light and protection will be seen upon His people.

The true, genuine prophets of God must release to the people of God a sure and strong trumpet sound, awaking them to take a strong stand (see —1 Corinthians 14:8).

The storm clouds of global war are on the horizon; the voices of war thunder across the nations. However, our hearts are filled with confidence knowing God is for us and we will stand strong and sure.

The destinies of nations hang in the balance. The world as we know it can change in the blink of an eye! However, in the midst of this raging chaos there is a Rock, a Shelter open to all who will run to The Lord Jesus Christ.

Hold fast to His sure promise:

Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. — John 14:27

It’s time to take a strong stand against the plans and plots of the enemy. In Christ the King we have been given great power to bind and loose:

I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind declare to be improper and unlawful on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven. —Matthew 16:19 AMP

Now is the time to be directed by the Holy Spirit, not the misguided media. This is a time to be serious in our search for Divine Truth:

Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. —Jeremiah 29:12-13

The false prince, the man of sin, stands at the door ready to lead untold millions to a Christ-less eternity. The man of sin could well be alive today, as well as the false prophet (see — Revelation 19:20).

Make no mistake about it these are the end-times. However, amid all the clamor and chaos the true Church will arise, and the voice of many waters will be heard heralding out the sounds of salvation and redemption by the blood of the Lamb.

Indeed, the prophetic trumpet must make a sure, clear sound to prepare the people of God to respond to unfolding events. Within these pages, you will hear this trumpet call, sounding out spiritual instructions for these perilous end-time days. The proper pattern for our action is revealed:

If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land. —2 Chronicles 7:14

Within the heart and soul of God’s people beats a victorious heart! With boldness and conviction the saints of God will explode with this positive powerful declaration:

And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. The people answered, Far be it from us to forsake the Lord to serve other gods;

For it is the Lord our God Who brought us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage, Who did those great signs in our sight and preserved us in all the way that we went and among all the peoples through whom we passed. —Joshua 24:15-17

This is the season to be bold in your stand for Christ. Expect to hear the triumphant cry arise from God’s saints, join your voice with them and make this bold proclamation now:

...but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord! —Joshua 24:15

Our confidence is not in our own capabilities or in our strength but in our dependence upon the Lord. Never forget, we are victorious because the triumphant, living Christ abides within us. Because of the indwelling Christ we are unstoppable in our journey to establish the kingdom of God.

Little children, you are of God you belong to Him and have already defeated and overcome them the agents of the antichrist, because He Who lives in you is greater mightier than he who is in the world. —1 John 4:4

In The Shepherd’s Rod Volume 20, the Spirit of God is releasing revelatory strategies to prepare us to face the future with boldness and true, steadfast confidence. As you read these pages, let your heart be girded with firm faith, not fear.

The aligning of our heart and soul with the promises and provisions of God is imperative. We are to stand secure, confident in the truth that our God reigns! Our faith is fixed upon our unshakable Lord. He is our High Tower and Rock. Let your shout of jubilation arise “Alleluia! Our God reigns!

And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns! —Revelation 19:6

As we submit and follow the Holy Spirit promises to direct our steps during these apocalyptic days, assuring us that we will be directed in a clear, precise path:

Teach me Your way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain and even path because of my enemies those who lie in wait for me. —Psalm 27:11

As followers of Christ we should never grope and stumble about in the dense darkness. We have been called and commissioned to leap in the brilliant light, walking boldly and confidently in our Divine destiny.

Yes, it will become extremely dark in the world; however, we are called to walk above the darkness. Abiding in Christ’s love and light we are destined to shine ever brighter. This is the time to arise and shine.

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. —Ephesians 5:8-13

God’s Word gives us direction and guidance no matter how precarious the pathway. God promises to make our feet sure and stable to tread these high pathways (see - Psalm 18:33).

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. —Psalm 119:105

Even in the days of deep darkness God has promised bright light for His people. Notice the declaration of increase of the light that now exists:

Moreover the light of the moon will be as the light of the sun, And the light of the sun will be sevenfold,

As the light of seven days, In the day that the Lord binds up the bruise of His people And heals the stroke of their wound. —Isaiah 30:26

Praise the Lord for victory in Jesus!
