Return to the original intent! Which is, Let Us make man in Our
image (Genesis 1:26). The Lord spoke these words to me audibly: It is time to return to the
original intent! These words were spoken very distinctly, and the command was
extremely clear: Gods intent today is His first intent, that men be conformed to His
image. He has never ceased from His original plan and purpose. The writer of Hebrews
says that God wants to show His people the unchangeableness of His purpose
(Hebrews 6:17, NAS). God will never deviate from His original plan for mankind. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and
over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon
the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male
and female created he them (Genesis 1:26-27, KJV). 1. Man being formed in Gods image and
likeness. 2. Man having dominion over the earth. The three key words used here are image, likeness and dominion. We would do
well to get a deeper understanding of what these words mean. In our next study we will look into the meaning of these. |
